David Wade

David qualified as a Solicitor in 1988 and joined Eric Bowes & Co shortly after. He became a partner at the firm in 1995 and is now the sole principal and heads the firm's family department. He has over 20 years experience specialising in the area of family law. He undertakes work in the High Court, County Court and Family Proceedings Court. He is experienced in all aspects of marriage and relationship breakdown.

David's clients value his practical, friendly and personable approach and much of his work results from personal recommendation.

He is an advanced member of the Law Society Family Lawyer Panel and an accredited member of Resolution.

Gurbinder Gill


Gurbinder Gill is a senior solicitor and is in charge of our housing department. He qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and has been at the firm since being admitted. He is a housing law and litigation expert.

Gurbinder has been involved in a number of important cases to the higher courts in housing law and the more recent unanimous decision of the European Court of Human Rights in McCann -v- United Kingdom [2008] FLR 899 ECHR. The landmark ruling in the McCann case will probably lead to a change or clarification of English law in respect of property rights. The judgment was described by one leading property barrister as "the most important UK housing law judgment in over 100 years".

He is a member of the Housing Law Practitioners Association and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

Anne Cordon

Anne joined the practice in December 2005 and following successful completion of her training she now specialises in Wills, Administration of Estates and Asset Protection Management.  She has expert knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and can advise clients on the implications both legally and practically of being an attorney or a court appointed deputy.

Anne is experienced in all aspects of private client work and has built a reputation of offering sound, practical advice in a sensitive and friendly manner.

Elaine Townsend

Elaine joined the firm as the conveyancing manager in February 2008.  She has been involved in conveyancing for over twenty years.  She is an extremely well organised and friendly conveyancer offering a personal and efficient service to all her clients.  Elaine prides herself on her excellent communication skills.  She deals solely with residential conveyancing which includes sales, purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity.

Elaine has proved to be an excellent addition to our residential conveyancing team and her work has been highly complimented by clients since she joined the firm.
